Back in 1942, the Iowa Motor Truck Association was formed because the individuals in the trucking industry felt they needed representation at the Iowa State Capitol. At the time, the biggest fight was with the railroads and IMTA leaders quickly developed a strategy that gave them great visibility at the Capitol.
Over the years, the Iowa Motor Truck Association has remained an effective and consistent voice of the industry. The IMTA is known as a reliable and powerful defender, not only for trucking issues but important business issues as well.
Truck PAC Iowa is the political action committee of the Iowa Motor Truck Association. Through Truck PAC Iowa, the association is able to assure the trucking industry and business in general is considered at the statehouse. Supporting Truck PAC Iowa is vitally important to the IMTA's on-going legislative efforts.
